Bag Books

How to contact this service
Description
Bag Books is a charity in the UK that helps people with learning disabilities. They make special multi‑sensory books that can be enjoyed through touch, sound and movement. The charity began in 1993 and is the only one in the world that makes these kinds of books for people with very high support needs.
These books are for people who find it hard to use normal books. The stories do not rely on words or pictures. Instead, they are told through actions, sounds and feelings. The books are made for people with severe or profound learning disabilities, or for people with severe autism. They can also help people who have trouble seeing or hearing.
Each year, Bag Books reaches more than 25,000 children and adults with learning disabilities.
Bag Books is a registered charity (no. 1026432).
