Relay UK (an Ofcom-regulated service run by BT on behalf of all UK landline and mobile phone providers) helps you communicate in English over the phone, whether you're hard of hearing, deaf, or speech-impaired. You don't need any special equipment. Conversations will be easy to manage and relaxed. 

Choose Your Device - By simply downloading the app and linking it to your phone number, you can use the Relay UK service on your smartphone, tablet, or PC. If you still have an old textphone, you can still make calls using that too. 

Relay Assistant - When you use the confidential Relay UK service, a Relay Assistant will speak what you type to the other person (or you can speak your own words), then you read the typed response - or you can type what you want to say and listen to the reply if you can hear OK.

Type Direct - If the other person is also using the app or a textphone, you can type to them directly (bypassing the Relay Assistant).

Relay UK is also open on Bank Holidays from 900am to, except for Christmas Day when it is closed.
