Description

ASEND creates custom learning plans that bring together skilled teachers and support staff. These plans help children and young people learn in safe and caring places where they can grow and do their best. ASEND was started by people who understand Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). They are not recruiters or agents.

Who They Are

ASEND is a team of SEND experts. They help children and young people who struggle in regular classrooms. The team includes former leaders from special schools, mainstream schools, colleges, and early years settings. They have helped design learning paths for pupils from early childhood (EYFS) to post-16 education.

ASEND works with local councils and other professionals to support children with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). They also work closely with families to plan and review the support each child receives.

To help each child succeed, ASEND works with trained tutors, teaching assistants, mentors, educational psychologists, speech and language therapists, and occupational therapists.

What They Offer

ASEND supports children and young people from early years to post-16. They are flexible and creative, building learning plans based on each person’s needs.

Their services include:

  • Custom learning plans with life skills activities in the community
  • One-to-one or small group support
  • SEND teachers and teaching assistants for school help
  • Sessions and assessments with psychologists, therapists, and speech experts
