Description
SANE works to improve quality-of-life for people affected by mental illness. They aim to combat stigma around mental illness, and to provide care and emotional support for those with mental health problems (and their families). SANE also spearhead research into causes and treatments of severe mental illnesses, such as schizophrenia. They are known for their Black Dog Campaign, which raises awareness (and reduced the stigma) of depression.
