Description
Diversity Role Models is a charity that wants a world where everyone everyone embraces diversity and can thrive. Its mission is to help people understand and accept each other and to stop LGBTQ+ bullying in schools.
LGBTQ+ is an inclusive term used to represent a broad spectrum of sexual orientations and gender identities. It usually refers to people who:
- are lesbians (L)
- are gay (G)
- are bisexual (B)
- are transgender (T)
- are queer or questioning (Q)
- identify as intersex, asexual, pansexual, etc (+)
The charity teaches about inclusion. Its education services are developed in collaboration with leading educators and inclusion experts. They help schools and organisations build empathy and respect. The programs can be changed to fit what each school needs.
Workshops are fun and interactive. They are led by trained facilitators. The best part of each workshop is hearing real stories from LGBTQ+ people or allies.
Diversity Role Models offers many services. These include whole-school programs and workshops for primary and secondary schools. Its website has a range of primary and secondary school resources that are available to download for free.
Diversity Role Models is a registered charity (number: 1142548).
