Key Things for Parents to Know

• Small classes with 1 teacher and 2 teaching assistants.
• Forest School, community learning and outdoor experiences form an important part of the curriculum.
• The provision invests heavily in family support and partnership working.
• Children need to be able to manage transitions between the unit and mainstream areas of the school.
• The Hive is particularly well suited to children who benefit from a nurturing, play-based approach while developing communication, independence and confidence.

All pupils in the unit provision will have an Education, Health, and Care (EHC) Plan. The Local Authority will have identified their needs as requiring placement at East Hunsbury Primary School's unit provision.
