Blatchford Ltd are a national independent, family-owned business that provides bespoke seating solutions, prosthetic technology and orthotic devices, and wheelchair services to the NHS and local authorities.

The wheelchair service is an integrated clinical and repair service. They provide a full and comprehensive free repair service should the NHS wheelchair develop a fault. An emergency out of hours service is also available.  The clinical service includes wheelchair and special searing assessments for children and adults with mobility anmd postural needs. They can also provide pressure cushions and accessories for wheelchairs and buggies. They also attend the special schools in the county. 

Those residents who have a Northamptonshire GP can self-refer for a manual (non-powered) wheelchair if they have a long term condition where they need an indoor and outdoor wheelchair. More complex needs will need a GP referral. Short term loans can be obtained from the British Red Cross.
