Description
Scouting offers a structured environment and a balanced programme. The range of activities and experiences on offer help young people in many ways to develop skills for life. Everyone, regardless of their additional needs or disability should be able to participate in scouting. Scouting strives to work with parents and carers and with support makes reasonable adjustments to support young people with additional needs or disabilities. With the right support, anyone can access scouting. However, they recognise that there are some things that young people may find challenging and need extra support.
A scouting offer specifically to help with this extra support is held in the Northampton District. The SEND Scout 57th Group is held at the MENCAP Northampton Building, Ransome Road, far Cotton, Northampton on alternate Sunday mornings. If you are interested in getting involved with the new group please email [email protected] stating you are interested in joining the 57th Northampton Scout Group.
