OpenDyslexic logo

Description

OpenDyslexic is an open-sourced font created to increase readability for people with dyslexia. The typeface includes regular, bold, italic, and bold-italic styles. It also includes two typefaces - OpenDyslexic and OpenDyslexic-Alta. The font is updated and improved continually, based on feedback from dyslexic users.

There are no restrictions on using OpenDyslexic. It can be used for personal-use, business-use, education, commercial, books, ebook readers, app, websites, or any other purpose.

OpenDyslexic's letters have heavy weighted bottoms to indicate direction. Readers can quickly figure out which part of the letter is down, which aids in recognizing the correct letter. Consistently weighted bottoms can also help reinforce the line of text. The unique shapes of each letter can help prevent confusion through flipping and swapping.
