Children's Audiology Service (West) - NGH

The Children's Audiology Service is a specialist centre based at Northampton General Hospital. It provides full hearing testing, diagnosis, hearing aid fitting, and investigations.

The team offers a comprehensive service for children and young people (from birth up to the age of 18) with a possible or confirmed hearing impairment.

The service provides full testing and makes confirmed diagnoses. Where required, referrals to the Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) department are made. If hearing aids are required, they will be provided and fitted directly in clinic. The team will work with children and their families. They also work closely with schools, teachers of the deaf, social care professionals, and speech and language therapists to ensure the effects of any hearing impairment are minimised and the best outcome is achieved for your child.

The team aims to provide a fast, friendly, and efficient service using staff of the highest calibre and giving a first-rate service to children and families using cutting edge technologies and latest developments in this field.
