Holiday Activities and Food Programme (HAF)

The Holiday Activities and Food programme (HAF) is funded by the Government. It offers free holiday activities and a healthy meal during the Easter, Summer, and Christmas school holidays.

There are around 100 different experiences available per holiday programme across Northants. Activities include indoor climbing at the Pinnacle Centre, to outdoor activities at the Everdon Outdoor Centre. There are also activities such as performing arts, film club, gaming and coding clubs, multi-sports, and tennis clubs.

In West Northamptonshire, the HAF is delivered by Northamptonshire Sport. For more information visit:

Eligibility

Your child may be eligible if they are:

• 5-16 years of age
• living in West Northamptonshire
• receiving benefits-related free school meals

Special Circumstances

West Northamptonshire Council (WNC) can provide a limited number of places for some other children. Namely, children who don’t receive benefits-related free school meals but would still benefit from the HAF programme.  To find out more (or if your child is Electively Home Educated) please email:

WNC encourages an inclusive environment at all HAF activity camps. But, it also acknowledges the need to maintain SEND-specific camps (which are continuing to expand). If your child has SEND and you feel they would benefit from HAF provision, please discuss it with their school in the first instance.
