Description
Chelveston Road School is a mixed secondary special school that caters for 145 pupils aged 11-18 years in North Northamptonshire. It is part of the Better Together Learning Trust
Chelveston Road School is a new a school and will open in stages. The first tranche of pupils were Year-7s who started in September 2021. The school will welcome its second tranche of pupils in September 2022. This will continue each year until the school reaches capacity in September 2025. The school will also have a dedicated provision for Post-16 pupils, catering for five pupils in Year 12 and five pupils in Year 13.
Chelveston Road School is for pupils whose primary needs are:
- Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
- Learning Disabilities
Pupils may also have (as secondary needs):
- Sensory and/or Physical Needs
- Speech, Language, and Communication Needs (SLCN)
All pupils will have an Education, Health, and Care (EHC) Plan. The Local Authority will have identified their needs as requiring placement at Chelveston Road School.
