Mower's Arc CIC (Adult Day Provision)

Mower’s Ark CIC is a Christian ministry based in Great Houghton, Northampton. Mower's Ark provide person-centred day services to young people with learning disabilities and complex health needs in Northamptonshire.

Customers are supported to develop communication, improve health & wellbeing, express themselves, make friends, build relationships and support the community. Mower's Ark offer personalised and progression focused activity programmes that include:

• Ongoing training in everyday living skills - menu planning, budget planning, shopping, cooking and health and safety skills
• Development of communication - using BSL, Makaton, PECs, symbols, and Objects of Reference
• Health and wellbeing - an extensive programme of physiotherapy, hydrotherapy, sporting and leisure activities on-site or in the community
• Therapeutic activities such as Music, Animal and Equine Therapy
• Meaningful work experiences that benefit the community - learning vocational skills in practical, real-life environments
• Outdoor activities that promote health and wellbeing
• Programmes that assist individuals to cope and develop confidence in social situations
