Description
NHFT's countywide community specialist eating disorder service offers treatment to children and young people up to the age of 18. It offers assessment and treatment to young people with a diagnosable eating disorder including anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, ARFID (avoidant restrictive food intake disorder) and binge eating disorder.
The service offers a range of evidence-based interventions within the community to young people and their families. It is a multidisciplinary team made up of a consultant child and adolescent psychiatrist, a senior clinical psychologist, dieticians, a family therapist, and specialist nurses.
Who is this service for? Children up to the age of 18 with a diagnosed eating disorder.
How to access this service: Referrals can be made by healthcare professionals such as your GP, school nurse, or C.A.M.H.S. worker via the Children and Young People's Referral Management Centre (RMC).
