The Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) is an executive non-departmental public body. They monitor human rights and protect equality on nine grounds - age, disability, gender, race, religion and belief, pregnancy and maternity, marriage and civil partnership, sexual orientation, and gender reassignment.
