Jobs with Legal Services

A view over the rooftops of Northampton

Introduction

Whether you are an aspiring lawyer, newly qualified, returning to work from a career break, looking at changing sectors or an established local government lawyer we want to hear from you.

West Northamptonshire Council is led by an inspirational group of Senior Officers and committed Elected Members, who place our residents at the heart of what we do and the Officers delivering for the residents right there next to them.

Whether you want to work flexibly, be based in the office, work predominantly from home, condense your hours or work a straight 37 hours a week, there are opportunities to suit every lifestyle.

We recognise that many people have caring responsibilities. With a flexible working scheme, you can rest assured that your attendance at school plays and sports days can be accommodated, as can caring for loved ones who may need your support.

Development doesn’t stop at West Northamptonshire Council. You will have regular conversations throughout the year to consider your personal and professional development to help you grow and achieve your career ambitions with us.

This includes qualifications, mentoring, training, coaching and many more opportunities to help you develop your skills and thrive in the workplace.

We are committed to retaining staff, so we will help prepare you to take the next step on your career journey with WNC.
