Communities across West Northamptonshire will come together in Remembrance this month, to honour those who served and remember their sacrifice.

There are a number of events taking place across West Northants, including:

On Friday 11 November at 11am, a short service will take place to mark Armistice Day at the brick gazebo at the top of Sheaf Street, outside the Post Office.

Then, at 10:30am on Sunday 13 November, The Royal British Legion Remembrance Day Parade will start at outside the Argos store on Daventry High Street and proceed along the High Street to Abbey Street before finishing at the War Memorial, where a short service will be held to include the calling of the Roll of Honour and laying of wreaths.

Traditionally, crowds gather around the War Memorial for the short service and take part in a two-minute silence at 11am.
