West Northamptonshire Retail and Town Centre Uses Study
We have appointed consultants Lambert Smith Hampton to produce a Retail and Town Centre Uses study to support the preparation of the West Northamptonshire Strategic Plan.
The purpose of the research is to consider the long-term role and function of the town centres in West Northamptonshire and to assess the existing supply and future need for retail and town centre floorspace. A key part of the study will be to fully understand impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on our town centres and the extent to which changes in the way people use our centres are likely to persist. The study will provide recommendations on how the Strategic Plan can support the revitalisation and repurposing of our principal centres.
Market research is a key element of the study and NEMS Market Research will be undertaking a household survey. The survey will provide an up to date picture of where households shop for food and other goods and will also explore opinion on the attractiveness and offer provided by our main centres. The survey will be via telephone interviews using a random sample of households across the area. If you are contacted by NEMS Market Research your participation in the study would be greatly appreciated. Please be assured that no personal data is being collected or processed and the interviews are in full compliance with the General Data Protection Regulations.
