The role of our Economic Growth and Inward Investment Service combines numerous areas, skills and experiences to deliver economic development that benefits everyone within West Northamptonshire. 

This means increased life chances, better quality jobs and more visitors, investors, and employers coming to this area. 

Our approach

Our approach is to work collaboratively with all the internal services at West Northamptonshire Council. 

In addition to this, we work with our external partner organisations, delivering incredible things that make West Northamptonshire the destination of choice for all.

This includes direct engagement with our many and varied businesses, employers and partners. It also involves attending and organising events and campaigns across the year which support economic growth. 

We participate not only in our own strategy development, but also keep strategies across the council which impact on the economic growth of West Northamptonshire.

About our team

We are a proactive team, dedicated to working collaboratively with colleagues and partners. This means establishing a high-profile reputation that highlights West Northamptonshire as a place where everyone can thrive. 

We aim to be:

• capitalising on our robust heritage offer, and vast number of attractions and reasons to visit the area time and time again
• securing funding to deliver economic initiatives to enhance the lives of all within West Northamptonshire

We are also currently leading on the UK Shared Prosperity Fund and the Rural England Prosperity Fund, totalling over £6.7m of investment into the community. This includes supporting businesses and developing people and skills.
