The Northamptonshire and Buckinghamshire Dyslexia Association (NBDA) believe in a dyslexia-friendly society that enables all neuro-diverse people of all ages to reach their potential.

They operate a helpline service run by volunteers.

They have been providing services for dyslexics across both counties for 35 years, and are affiliated to the British Dyslexia Association (BDA). They are an independent registered charity and membership organisation.

Together with a small team of professional helpline/befriender volunteers (all experts in their field), the NBDA cover all aspects of dyslexia and other co-occurring specific learning difficulties (SpLD). They offer free information, advice, and guidance.

Services include:

  • Confidential helpline and befriender service
  • Quarterly newsletter for members
  • Parent forum (for members and parents of children with SpLD only)
