Description

An individualised recovery journey from poor mental health or mental ill health can start with Learn2b.

Learn2b specialises in supporting people’s recovery from mental health difficulties through learning and education. Learn2b is not therapy, and the courses can run alongside any other form of help, support, education or training the individual is already receiving. We work in small groups which can help reduce feelings of isolation, loneliness, and offers an opportunity for people to set workable goals and develop relationships that can give their lives greater meaning.

All courses have a thematic approach and embrace the principles of a personal learning journey which may help learners see mental health from a different perspective, recognise skills, strengths, and talents they may never have recognised for themselves.

Learners are at the heart of every session, and we recognise that some days you can feel unmotivated or low, and we accept that is okay. We recognise that in between sessions we will have had survival moments and regardless of how big or small they may be; we will celebrate them. By attending our courses, people soon learn that they are not on their own. They will discover that other people experience similar things to themselves and find some common ground - often leading to a peer-to-peer support network.

Learn2b is an inclusive service which means that we welcome family, friends, and carers of those living with the mental health diagnosis to offer space and time for everyone within the support circle.

Courses are free to attend. For further information please contact the Learning for Wellbeing team.
