Well Northants

The Well Northants programme supports those who are the most vulnerable by putting community involvement, engagement and feedback at the centre of decisions to address health inequalities.

We work with you to better understand:

  • the area you live in
  • your challenges
  • what improvements are needed

Together, we can make a difference to the community and help people live their best life.

Our aims

The aim of Well Northants is to bring people together, and to empower communities to become more resilient and connected. We know that achieving this can make a huge difference to a person’s wellbeing.

We want to:

  • build resilience within local communities so you are empowered to take action together on health and the social determinants of health
  • reduce the health inequalities faced by those who are most disadvantaged or excluded

Where we work

We work in areas in both Northampton and Daventry.

These include:

  • Northampton: Kings Heath, St David’s (Kingsthorpe), Blackthorn, Semilong and Briar Hill
  • Daventry: Southbrook

Community development workers

We have a community development worker who works closely with each of the communities listed above.

We also have a community development worker that works with specific communities who experience significant health inequalities. These groups include Sex Workers, Gypsy, Romany, and Traveller communities and canal boat communities.

Well Northants Community Grant

Well Northants offer community grants of up to £2000 to build and develop assets in the communities and neighbouhoods we are working in.
