Family fun

Northampton is bursting with family-friendly attractions. Kids (and kids at heart) can climb high at The Pinnacle Climbing Centre, enjoy fast-paced fun at SoccerShack, an indoor hub offering a variety of football fun, or ride the rails on the Northampton and Lamport Railway.
Silverstone Circuit is the UK's home of motorsport, hosting major racing events. The museum explores the history, racing heritage and engineering achievements.
Fancy something a little different? Check out Northampton Active, where you can even enjoy whitewater activities! Round off the day with a picnic and playtime at Abington Park. There’s something for every family to enjoy!

Art, history and culture

From heritage to performances, Northampton is a cultural gem waiting to be explored. Explore the Northampton Museum and Art Gallery, home to the world’s largest shoe collection. Especially for the Women’s Rugby World Cup tournament, the museum is hosting ‘Scrum’: a rugby exhibition featuring photographic hanging banners, a timeline of the history of women’s rugby, photos of the teams, and filmed interviews with some of the players!
After taking all of this in, cross the road and catch a show at the fantastic Royal and Derngate Theatre offering performances for every age and interest. Don’t leave before visiting the stunning grounds of Delapré Abbey, a restored heritage site hosting exhibitions, tours, and events year-round.
