Resources and Waste Strategy
We collect and empty more than 21 million bins and caddies every year.
We are developing a Resources and Waste Strategy that will set out our long-term vision for the waste services we deliver for you, and how we intend to achieve further improvements to align with and meet proposed Government waste policy changes.
We asked you for your views about all the waste and street cleansing services that we provide across West Northamptonshire.
This includes:
- general, garden, food and recycling collections
- household waste recycling centres
- street cleansing
- infectious clinical waste
- commercial waste
- items of bulky household furniture
The consultation is now closed. Thank you to everyone who took the time to comment. The strategy will be finalised and published later this year.
Since April 2021, we have implemented several changes to help to harmonise the waste services across West Northants as well as deliver improvements.
We want to continue improving to provide fair, consistent services for residents and businesses in the area and lessen the impact waste collection, treatment and disposal has on the environment.
