As Brackley continues to grow we want to make it easier for people to travel safely between neighbourhoods, schools, local amenities and the town centre.

We are exploring opportunities to improve road safety and make it easier for people to walk, wheel and cycle in Brackley.

The proposed improvements focus on:

Scheme 1 - Manor Road/ Waynflete Avenue
Scheme 2 - High Street/ Northampton Road
Scheme 3 - Halse Road

These improvements will help deliver the objectives of the adopted Local Transport Plan and Local Cycling and Walking Infrastructure Plan, supporting safer and more sustainable travel in Brackley.

You can attend one of the in-person drop-in sessions, where you will be able to speak to members of the project team, view the proposals and ask any questions you may have.

The drop in sessions will be held at Brackley Women’s Institute and Girl Guide Hall, Manor Road, Brackley, NN13 6AJ on:

Tuesday 15 September, 3pm to 6pm
Thursday 24 September, 3pm to 6pm

What happens next?

Once the consultation has closed, all feedback will be reviewed and considered. A consultation report will be published summarising the feedback received and explaining how comments have informed the next stages of the project.

The designs will then be progressed, subject to funding and approvals. A summary of the next stages for each project is below:

Manor Road/ Waynflete Avenue – if the scheme moves to the detailed design phase a further consultation will be undertaken for residents and local organisations to have their say.
High Street/ Northampton Road and Halse Road – the next stage for these schemes is feasibility design. Designs will be developed and are expected to be consulted upon in early 2027.
