Help shape the area's next Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Strategy

Our current SEND and Alternative Provision Strategy (2023–2026) is now in its final year. We have published an update showing the progress made so far, which you can read on our website.
Thanks to the views and support of local families, professionals and voluntary organisations, we’ve seen improvements across education, health, care and community support.
Work is now beginning on the development of a new SEND Strategy for West Northamptonshire and to make sure the next strategy reflects the needs, experiences and priorities of the whole community, we want to hear from everyone.
How to take part:
We have developed two surveys, one for everyone and another for children and young people. .
Each survey takes approximately 10 to 15 minutes to complete, and responses will remain anonymous unless individuals choose to provide their details.
Which survey to complete:
- If you responding as an individual or a professional working with children and young people, please use the “Complete Survey” button on the top right of this page to take part.
- If you are a child or young person, please use the survey link below called “Complete survey: Children and Young People” to get your view heard
What happens next
The feedback that you provided will help us:
- Understand the key challenges affecting children and young people with SEND.
- Shape co‑production workshops with families, practitioners and young people.
- Set long-term priorities across education, health, specialist support‑ and inclusion.
- Ensure lived experience remains at the heart of our planning.
