Description
The Seddon Legacy Project is a local program that helps children in Northamptonshire who have lost someone they love. Anne-Marie started the project after her children’s dad died by suicide in April 2024. The project gives free support, run by volunteers, to help children deal with grief in a safe and friendly place.
The project offers group meetings and school visits. For times and dates, please contact the team. Families and professionals can send referrals via forms are on the website.
The Seddon Legacy Project offers:
- The Starlight Group: A monthly group for children ages 3-10. Kids can do crafts and talk about their feelings in a calm, caring space.
- Bereavement Befriender: One-to-one support in schools. This includes emotional help and a plan made with school staff to support the child.
- The Funeral Friend: Support for children going to funerals, helping them understand what will happen and how to cope.
