Description

West Northants Voices in Partnership (WNVP) is an independent group of Parent Carers who all have a child/young person (CYP) with a Special Educational Need and/or Disability (SEND).

They empower the voices of Parent Carers of a child or young person between the ages of 0-25 with SEND, living or attending a provision within West Northamptonshire.  Their aim is to listen and present the voices of their members at a strategic level to help plan and develop the quality, range, and accessibility of local SEND provision to achieve better outcomes for the CYP of West Northants. They do this by ensuring good practice and the challenges faced by Parent Carers are shared with the local authority, education, health, and care services, and within the voluntary sector.

Membership is free, and open to all parents and carers of children with SEND in West Northamptonshire. Become a member using this link.

The partnership often run free online workshops and events for parent-carers. See their social profile to see what's coming up soon in your area.

The West Northants Voices in Partnership  is one of 152 parent-carer forums in the UK. It is part of the East Midlands Regional Network and a member of the National Network of Parent Carer Forums (NNPCF). The members decision, in December 2023, was to split Northamptonshire Parent Forum Group (NPFG) into two forums to better support the parents and carers in the two Northamptonshire authorities. It was agreed unanimously by all statutory services that West Northants Voices in Partnership (WNVP) sign a Memorandum of Understanding and a Service Level Agreement with West Northamptonshire Council.
