How to contact this service
From a modest start made by a small group of parents in 1977, Education Otherwise (EO) has grown to become a well-respected and vibrant registered charity, supporting and advising home-educating families in England and Wales. Their name comes from the Education Act, which states that parents are responsible for their children's education "either by regular attendance at school or otherwise," and they work to raise awareness of the fact that education is compulsory, but school is not.
Education Otherwise aims to support and promote parents’ rights to provide their children with the best education for each of them, as individuals.
Education Otherwise is a registered charity (no. 1055120).
