Shine Arts and Well-Being CIC

Description

Shine Arts and Well-Being is a social group for people with additional needs or other social/learning difficulties in the Northamptonshire area. Service users can participate in art activities and other projects designed to improve self-esteem and well-being.

The group's main passion is art and crafts - using visual arts to help develop self-expression, personal development, and confidence. Those attending have the opportunity to learn basic British Sign Language for fun. Learning BSL helps those with communication difficulties and anxieties and makes the group accessible to the deaf/signing community.

Fair-to-good fine motor skills will be needed for creating artwork and BSL sessions. However, carers are always welcome to accompany service users free of charge.

Shine Arts and Well-Being offer two sessions at the Burton Latimer Community Library:

  • Adults (16+): Mondays (11am-3pm), £10 per day (includes lunch)
  • Young People (11-18s): Mondays (4pm-5.30pm), £5 per day
