Adult Social Care: Employment and Disability Service (EADS) - NNC and WNC logo

The Employment and Disability Service (EADS) is a specialist supported employment team.

EADS for Adults with Disabilities

EADS provides bespoke support to individuals facing barriers to employment. It supports them in working towards (and achieving) their employment goals.

EADS has 38 years of experience in building futures and changing lives. It raises aspirations, empowers individuals, and provides support to local people.

How You Get the Service

A social care professional must refer you to the service.

You can use this online form to help the Council understand any care needs you may have. They will use this information to decide if you might be eligible for support.

EADS for Businesses

EADS offers free professional support for businesses across Northamptonshire.

Barriers such as health conditions and disabilities can make work more difficult. They may cause staff absences or affect productivity. EADS can support your business in overcoming these barriers before that happens.

EADS wants to help your business achieve accessible and inclusive employment processes. You could even work towards becoming a Disability Confident organisation. The EADS specialists will support the participant with job coaching. They'll also support your staff with disability coaching.

Supported Internships for Businesses

Your business can talk to EADS about supported internships. The team can support you in accessing local talent. It can also help you improve communication with local schools and colleges.

EADS has a local Supported Internship Forum. It's full of local education providers who are passionate about local businesses succeeding.

Supported internships are a fantastic way to find local talent. They help individuals develop their careers with the company that supported them. This decreases your staff turnover.

EADS understand that every business has different requirements. They would like to work with you to find out what yours are. For more information, phone 01604 361033.
