Description
Sttebs Care Farm aim to combine the care of people, land, and animals.
Working with animals has been thought to improve mental health and wellbeing, as well as aid in rehabilitation. Sttebs Care Farm are creating a quiet and therapeutic environment, to help individuals overcome barriers and improve their social and communication skills.
Regular activities include animal care, maintaining a wildlife and sensory garden, learning where food comes from, and growing fruit and vegetables.
With tailored activities to support individual’s specific needs, it means everyone can take part and enjoy ‘farm life’ in a safe and structured manner.
Sttebs Care Farm is an accredited centre, delivering City & Guilds courses in Landbased Studies and Functional Skills. It also runs a bespoke AQA unit assessment programme to meet all individuals needs.
