How to contact this service

Description

CAMHS Connect offers consultation, supervision, advice, and support for professionals, parents, carers, and young people. CAMHS stands for "Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services." It’s also sometimes referred to as "Children and Young People's Mental Health Services" (CYPMHS).

CAMHS Consultation Line

Text a School Nurse

Text a school nurse for friendly, helpful advice. This service is designed for 11- to 19-year-olds: 07507 329 600 Monday to Friday, 9am to 4pm.

Northamptonshire Drop-Ins

Drop-Ins help young people and their parents or carers. They're run by the REACH Collaborative.

These sessions are for anyone who needs support with their mental health or is going through a hard time. They offer a safe and friendly place to talk and be listened to.

Each drop-in has trained mental health workers who can give one-to-one help, peer support, and fun wellbeing activities. You can also get support by phone. Visitors are welcome to share what they need and how the team can help. Parents and carers can get advice and information too.

You don’t need an appointment - just come during opening hours. Check opening times and locations to find one near you (link).

Crisis Service

The CAMHS Crisis Team is a multi- disciplinary team made up of mental health professionals who assess and supports young people who have attempted suicide or severally harmed themselves. They operate 7 days a week from 9am till 10pm across Northamptonshire. They also offer a phone triage service overnight between 10pm and 9am.

They additionally act as the gate keepers for young people who require a mental health hospital admission and source these beds accordingly.
