Description

CAMHS Connect offers consultation, supervision, advice, and support for professionals, parents, carers, and young people. CAMHS stands for "Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services." It’s also sometimes referred to as "Children and Young People's Mental Health Services" (CYPMHS).

CAMHS Consultation Line

CAMHS / CYPMHS provides an advice line for parents, carers, young people, and professionals. If you need guidance relating to the emotional wellbeing or mental health of a young person, call 0800 170 7055 (Monday to Friday, 9am-7pm).

CAMHS Live

CAMHS / CYPMHS Live is an online chat facility that provides advice and guidance for parents, carers, young people (aged 13+), and professionals. If you need guidance relating to the emotional wellbeing or mental health of a young person, visit www.nhft.nhs.uk/CAMHSLive (Monday to Friday, 9am-7pm).

'Espresso Yourself' - Wellbeing Cafés for Young People

The CAMHS / CYPMHS Crisis Cafés are available for young people (aged 11 to 18 years) if they need advice or are having a mental health crisis. These weekly cafés are for young people to drop-in and talk to a mental health professional in a safe space. Their friendly staff will listen and provide advice, support, signposting, or referrals. There is no need to book an appointment. Simply drop in to one of the locations and timings* below:

How do I register for CAMHS? CAMHS/CYPMHS accept referrals from professionals through its Children and Young People's Referral Management Centre. Further information about making a referral (for professionals) can be found here

If you are in a crisis (at risk of self-harm or suicide), the CAMHS/CYPMHS Crisis Team is open 24/7 and can be accessed by calling 0800 170 7055.
