Description
This team supports children and young people with emotional wellbeing difficulties and mental health conditions. It's referred to as "Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services" (CAMHS) or "Children and Young People’s Mental Health Services" (CYPMHS).
CAMHS/CYPMHS offer a variety of interventions and therapies in both individual or group settings. It works with families across the county to help children and young people feel better.
Who is this service for? Children and young people up to the age of 18 and registered with a GP in Northamptonshire.
How do I register for this service?
Professionals: CAMHS/CYPMHS accept referrals from professionals through its Children and Young People's Referral Management Centre. Further information about making a referral (for professionals) can be found here.
Young people (aged 13+): can speak to the team live and online Monday-Friday, 9am-7pm via CAMHS Live.
Parents, carers, young people, and professionals: can call the CAMHS/CYPMHS Consultation Line, 0800 170 7055 (Monday-Friday, 9am-4pm).
If you are in a crisis (at risk of self-harm or suicide): the CAMHS/CYPMHS Crisis Team is open 24/7 and can be accessed by calling 0800 170 7055.
