Description

Sometimes, young people with mental health problems might need inpatient treatment. The CAMHS Inpatient Service offers a highly specialist mental health support. It offers assessment and treatment to young people whose mental health problems cannot be managed in the community.

The CAMHS Inpatient Service has two locations. The Sett is a highly specialised unit that offers assessment, treatment, and management of mental health conditions. The Burrows is a transitional unit that supports young people who have had stays in psychiatric units to integrate back into the community.

Who is this service for? Young people aged 13-18 years with mental health conditions.

Crisis Service 

The CAMHS Crisis Team is a multi- disciplinary team made up of mental health professionals who assess and supports young people who have attempted suicide or severally harmed themselves. They operate 7 days a week from 9am till 10pm across Northamptonshire. They also offer a phone triage service overnight between 10pm and 9am.

They additionally act as the gate keepers for young people who require a mental health hospital admission and source these beds accordingly.
