Description

Youth Works Northamptonshire is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) that delivers education and support services to the young people of Northamptonshire.

The Youth Works Community College is an alternative education provision for learners aged 13 to 16 years with social, emotional or mental health (SEMH) difficulties. Key stage 3 and key stage 4 learners with social, emotional or mental health difficulties, can be referred to Youth Works Community College via the learner’s current school, or direct from the local authority. Schools and academies can refer learners for between 2 hours and 25 hours per week.

The alternative learning provision is for Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 learners who are finding it a challenge to remain engaged in mainstream education. Youth Works also provide bespoke programmes to Key Stage 2 students who are presenting with issues that may affect transition to Key Stage 3.

Many of the tutors are experienced youth workers who understand the needs of ‘hard to reach’ young people. Their knowledge and experience is reflected in the innovative programmes and teaching styles that have been developed by the team.

Youth Works is a registered charity (no.1177502).
