Youth Works Northamptonshire CIO - Community College (Independent Special)
How to contact this service
Description
Youth Works Northamptonshire is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) that delivers education and support services to the young people of Northamptonshire.
The Youth Works Community College is an alternative education provision for learners in years 10 & 11 with social, emotional or mental health (SEMH) difficulties. Learners with social, emotional or mental health difficulties, can be referred to Youth Works Community College via the learner’s current school, or direct from the local authority.
The alternative learning provision is for Key Stage 4 learners who are finding it a challenge to remain engaged in mainstream education. They start accepting referrals for learners in Year 9 in the Spring term with a view to them attending trial sessions in the summer term, before starting at the beginning of Year 10.
Youth Works also provide bespoke programmes to Key Stage 3 and 4 students who are presenting with issues.
Many of the tutors are experienced youth workers who understand the needs of ‘hard to reach’ young people. Their knowledge and experience is reflected in the innovative programmes and teaching styles that have been developed by the team.
Youth Works is a registered charity (no.1177502).
