Description
Sleep Right (by Scope) supports families of children with special educational needs and/or disabilities aged 2-18 years, who have severe sleep problems and live in Northamptonshire.
Sleep Right understand that every family is different. They will support referred families (in the most appropriate way) through an individual sleep programme. Their tailored service includes sleep training workshops, telephone support, and email support.
Sleep Right's individual sleep programmes usually last about 6 weeks. They will help families put tools and techniques in place that will help disabled children and young people:
- feel calm and relaxed at bedtime
- fall asleep quicker
- wake up less during in the night
- get the sleep they need
The Sleep Right service offers:
- support from a sleep practitioner, experienced in working with disabled children
- practical advice and suggestions
- tailored sleep plans
- telephone and email support
Sleep Right service can provide adjustments if you need them. These might include language translation, British Sign Language (BSL) video interpretation, and live chat.
Eligibility Criteria
The referral criteria is children aged 2-18 years diagnosed with additional needs and/or physical disability (including those on the pathway for investigation).
Referrals
Sleep Right in Northamptonshire is funded by the Local Authority and NHS. Families cannot sign themselves up directly. Sleep Right only accept referrals from professionals. Please note: Sleep Right cannot accept referrals for children and young people with emotional wellbeing issues; they should be referred to C.A.M.H.S.
