West Northamptonshire Disability Confident Employers

The Disability Confident Scheme was introduced by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) in November 2016. It replaced the previous “Two Ticks” scheme.

The scheme helps more disabled people find jobs. It also aims to close the employment gap between disabled and non-disabled people. It also supports employers in making the most of the skills and talents that disabled people bring to the workplace. Being Disability Confident gives employers the chance to lead in their community. They'll discover abilities they cannot do without. 

The scheme is voluntary, and employers can access guidance, self-assessments, and resources for free.

There are three levels in the scheme: 

• Level 1 - Committed 
• Level 2 - Employer 
• Level 3 - Leader
