Performing Room

Performing Room is a charity in Northampton that helps people explore music and creativity in a safe, welcoming space. They have over 25 years of experience running projects that support wellbeing and confidence. Their building on Guildhall Road is fully accessible. It's designed to be sensory-friendly, so everyone can feel comfortable.

Who They Support

Performing Room works with up to 2,000 people each year, including:

• Children, young people, and adults with SEND, autism, or learning disabilities
• Care-experienced children and young people
• People facing anxiety, trauma, isolation, or poverty

It is known for creating a friendly, inclusive environment where everyone feels valued.

What They Do

Performing Room offers music and creative activities. They help people build confidence and connect with others. Activities include:

• Singing, songwriting, and playing instruments
• Music technology, recording, and DJing
• Live performances and showcases
• Heritage projects that link creativity with local history

The building has four floors and is designed to reduce sensory overload. It has dedicated spaces for:
