Description
Equilore is a mental health charity offering equine facilitated psychotherapy (EFP).
They work with their horses to help people gain insight in how we perceive, behave and interact with the world around us. Horses don’t judge. Horses care about your presence, your intentions and your ability to be and connect with them.
They work with children from age 7 up to adulthood, as long as they can cope with the outdoor environment they work in. This is an outdoor yard. They have an open barn with an kitchen area and sheltered places in case of bad weather. They have an eco-toilet, which is not wheelchair accessible.
They can offer mental health support for people who have undergone traumatic events, are struggling with anxiety or depression. They work with autistic young people and those with other special educational needs or disabilities.
