Description

The Cube is a day care provider for adults with learning disabilities and autism. They offer a fun and modern service from five custom-built facilities across the county:

  • Clarke Road - Abington, Clarke Road, Abington, Northampton NN1 4PW
  • Daventry - Abbey Retail Park, Daventry NN11 4GL
  • Kettering - Tanners Gate Retail Park, Kettering NN16 8AQ
  • Kingsthorpe - Harborough Road, Kingsthorpe, Northampton NN2 8LT
  • Roe Road - Abington (Head Office), 63-71 Roe Road, Abington, Northampton NN1 4PH

The Cube Disability first opened in Daventry in 2000, and has now successfully expanded into Northampton and Kettering, including a dedicated performing arts academy in Kingsthorpe.

The Cube Disability - Day Service

The day service is open to anyone with a learning disability (aged 17 years and above). It offers each client a tailored programme. They are flexible and accommodating - not only with physical requirements but also with any religious and nutritional needs. They provide access to wheelchairs, offer British Sign Language (BSL), and support clients with autism and complex needs.

The Cube works hard to ensure their clients enjoy the best possible quality of life. They provide access to sports, arts, cultural events, and educational activities (such as literacy, life skills, and work skills). Clients at The Cube's arts academy can work towards a nationally-recognised Arts Award from Trinity College London.

The Cube aims to educate and stimulate clients in a fun, interesting, and (most importantly) safe environment. Clients are encouraged to play an active role at all five venues, where they can learn to socialise and make friends.

Cube Adventures

Cube adventures team takes small groups on holiday, over the course of each year both in the uk and abroad.During each adventure they provide person-centred care supporting with basic life skills and social skills.

Visits have included Centre Parcs, Norfolk, Spain and Disneyland Paris.

They also provide monthly SEN Saturday days out at various tourist attractions across the country

This service was inspected by the CQC in July 2023 

Cube PA

The PA service is client led and they aim to offer tailor-made days out to suit the needs and wishes of individuals. They can be in in small groups or 1-1.

The Cube focus on promoting independence and personal growth.

The Cube Disability Extra

The Cube also run an evening and weekend service. The Cube Disability Extra is open to all adults with disabilities in Northamptonshire. It is designed to be a social club for people with learning disabilities, and you don't need to be a Cube client to access this service.

The Cube Disability Kids
