West Northamptonshire Community Vaccination Clinic

No appointment is needed for the mobile vaccinations - simply walk in and get vaccinated.

Ask the team on the van to also receive a blood pressure check and get help with the NHS app or other public health services.

Some vaccines are routinely offered only in childhood, while others can be given later if a person missed earlier doses or has specific health risks. Eligibility for vaccines follows national NHS guidance.

Flu vaccination eligibility

You may be eligible for a free NHS flu vaccination this autumn if you are:

• pregnant
• aged 65 or over
• aged 18 to under 65 and in a clinical risk group
• a resident of a long-stay residential care home
• in receipt of Carer's Allowance, or the main carer of an older or disabled person
• a close contact of someone who is immunocompromised
• experiencing homelessness and aged 16 or over, including those using homeless hostels or night shelters
• an eligible frontline social care worker without access to an employer-led occupational health scheme, including those working in:
  • registered residential care or nursing homes
  • domiciliary care
  • voluntary managed hospices
  • as personal assistants employed through direct payments or personal health budgets

Children and young people may also be eligible for a free flu vaccination through the NHS programme, including:

• children aged two or three years on 31 August 2026
• primary and secondary school-aged children from Reception to Year 11
• young people aged 17 and over attending a special educational needs (SEN) school who are also in a clinical risk group
• children in clinical risk groups aged six months to under 18 years

If you're unable to attend one of the vaccination clinics listed above, eligible individuals can book a flu vaccination appointment through the NHS: Book, change or cancel a flu vaccination appointment.

COVID-19 vaccination eligibility

You may be eligible for a COVID-19 vaccination if you:

• are aged 75 or over (including those who will be 75 by 31 January 2027)
• are aged 6 months to 74 years and have a weakened immune system because of a health condition or treatment
• live in a care home for older adults
