Everyone Active set to enhance and upgrade leisure centres as it takes over West Northants contract
20 March 2026

Everyone Active will be speaking to customers about a new era for their local leisure facilities in West Northamptonshire on Wednesday and Thursday, April 1-2.
The award-winning operator – which already runs Moulton Leisure Centre, Daventry Leisure Centre and Daventry Sports Park in partnership with West Northamptonshire Council (WNC) – is due to take over the running of Mounts Baths, Danes Camp Leisure Centre and Lings Forum Leisure Centre on Wednesday, April 1 as part of a new leisure contract covering all six sites.
Activities will be temporarily paused at Mounts Baths, Danes Camp and Lings Forum on Wednesday and Thursday, April 1-2 as Everyone Active moves in new and replacement equipment and ensures the centres are clean, safe and welcoming.
However, reception areas at the three centres will be open to the local community between 10am and 4pm on both of those days, with customers encouraged to come in to ask any questions about their memberships, bookings and facilities.
Everyone Active is working hard to ensure a range of activities are on offer over the Easter weekend and are committed to getting full activity programmes up and running as soon as possible.
Customers will need an Everyone Active membership to use Mounts Baths, Danes Camp and Lings Forum from April 3, which they can sign up for here, or they can use the centres on a pay-as-you-go basis. Colleagues can help customers set up memberships in person on Wednesday and Thursday, April 1-2.
Everyone Active has committed to price matching existing memberships for six months, based on the prices listed on the website of incumbent operator Trilogy Active. The only variation will be in swim lesson prices, which have been adjusted to reflect a 50-week programme, instead of a 48-week programme.
As part of the new contract, a comprehensive programme of modernisation and refurbishment will take place across centres in West Northamptonshire.
This begins on Monday, March 30, when a three-month project starts to install a large soft play at Daventry Leisure Centre, replacing half of the sports hall.
Meanwhile, on Wednesday, April 1, work starts at Lings Forum on a nine-week project to extend the gym into the space currently occupied by the dry change and offices, increasing its capacity to more than 120 stations.
While this work is carried out, a temporary gym will be set up in two of the six courts in the sports hall. The temporary gym will be available from Tuesday, April 9, as due to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, there has been a delay in the transport of fitness equipment. This delay will also affect equipment arrival times at Danes Camp.

“We are delighted to be starting a new era for leisure in West Northamptonshire in a matter of weeks and are looking forward to welcoming local communities to Mounts Baths, Danes Camp and Lings Forum.Simon Fearn, Everyone Active’s regional contract manager
“Briefly pausing activities will allow us to make the preparations necessary to get activities up and running as soon as possible, as well as addressing any questions our customers may have. While we appreciate a two-day closure may prove a short-term issue, we are keen to ensure centres are clean, safe and welcoming and are up to the high standards our customers deserve.
“In addition, it is hugely exciting that big refurbishment projects are on the way for our West Northamptonshire sites over the next six months. This will help us provide improved facilities and state-of-the-art equipment which people can use to get active, all in a fantastic environment.”
“We’re pleased to be welcoming a new chapter for leisure services across West Northamptonshire. Everyone Active has already shown what can be achieved through their successful management of Moulton Leisure Centre, Daventry Leisure Centre and Daventry Sports Park, and this next step builds on a strong foundation.Cllr James Petter, Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Local Economy, Culture and Leisure at WNC
“Bringing all six sites under one contract opens the door to new opportunities for our communities, from modernised facilities to a broader, engaging range of activities. The investment planned over the coming months reflects our shared ambition to create welcoming, accessible spaces that support residents’ health and wellbeing.
“As with any large transition, there have been some handover issues along the way. That is not unusual when services of this scale move between arrangements. The important point is that these are being worked through quickly with the incoming operator so that residents and users see the full benefit of the new partnership.
“We look forward to seeing this partnership continue to grow and to the benefits it will bring for people of all ages across West Northamptonshire.”
