Fresh grant funding available to power community impact across West Northants
29 June 2026

Voluntary, Community, Faith and Social Enterprise (VCFSE) organisations delivering vital services across West Northamptonshire are being invited to apply for new grant funding of up to £15,000.
West Northamptonshire Council (WNC) has opened its latest round of Discretionary Community Funding Grants, designed to support local organisations in delivering projects that align with the Council’s strategic aims and priorities while meeting the needs of local communities.
This new funding round builds on the success of last year’s programme, which saw grants awarded to 41 local VCFSE organisations, helping to strengthen community provision across the area. With demand expected to be high once again, organisations are encouraged to review eligibility criteria carefully and submit their applications well ahead of the deadline.
The scheme is open to locally based registered charities, not-for-profit organisations and VCFSE groups that operate, or are planning to operate, within West Northamptonshire.
Applicants will need to clearly demonstrate how their project addresses a specific local need and contributes to one or more of the Council’s key strategies and priorities, including:
- One West Northamptonshire Plan
- Joint Health and Wellbeing Board Strategy 2023-2028
- Community Safety Partnership Plan
- Anti-Poverty Strategy
- Integrated Care Northamptonshire ‘Live Your Best Life’ ambitions Strategy 2023-33
Cllr Charlie Hastie, Deputy Leader of WNC and Cabinet Member for Housing and Communities, said: “Our voluntary and community groups play a vital role in supporting residents and strengthening communities across West Northamptonshire.
“They understand local needs and can respond quickly to make a real difference. We’re proud to support their work through this funding and encourage all eligible organisations to apply before the deadline.”
Applications for this round of funding should be submitted no later than 5pm on Tuesday, 28 July 2026.
Organisations interested in applying can find full details, including evaluation criteria, on the WNC website and in the Council’s Community Funding Grants Framework. To request an application form and guidance, please email: [email protected].
