Colleagues are celebrating after Moulton Leisure Centre secured two prestigious honours at the ukactive Awards on Thursday, October 8.

The centre, run by leading operator Everyone Active in partnership with West Northamptonshire Council (WNC), initially triumphed in the ‘Regional Public Club/Centre of the Year – Midlands and East Anglia’ category at the International Convention Centre in Birmingham.

Winning that award put Moulton Leisure Centre in the hunt for ‘Outstanding Public Club/Centre of the Year’ alongside the other regional winners from across the country, and the Pitsford Road site was duly handed the top award later in the evening.

Recently upgraded with a £712,000 refurbishment, Moulton Leisure Centre’s state-of-the-art facilities include a 25m swimming pool, 90-station gym, hydro massage beds, Reformer studio and a spa – featuring a jacuzzi, sauna and steam room.

The ukactive Awards celebrate the best of the physical activity sector and are designed to recognise excellence and innovation across health, wellbeing and fitness. A not-for-profit body, ukactive comprises members and partners from across the active lifestyle sector.

The ukactive Awards received a record number of entries in 2026, highlighting the achievements of those who won each category.

Jamie Brightwell, Everyone Active’s contract manager, said: “It’s a huge honour to win these two awards, reflecting the hard work and dedication the site team has put in over the past year. Led by the general manager, Georgina Crofts, they have done a fantastic job.

“We are so proud to support the physical and mental health of the local community and would like to thank all of our customers and partners for their ongoing support.”

Cllr Kamala Guliyeva, Cabinet Member for Local Economy, Culture and Leisure at WNC, said: "We are incredibly proud to see Moulton Leisure Centre receive this national recognition. This award reflects the hard work and dedication of the team, as well as the positive difference the centre makes to the health, wellbeing and quality of life of our residents every day.

“This achievement demonstrates what can be delivered through a strong partnership between West Northamptonshire Council and Everyone Active. As part of the Council's long-term commitment to improving leisure facilities across the area, significant capital investment has been made at Moulton Leisure Centre through our new 10-year leisure contract.

“It is therefore particularly pleasing to see those improvements, combined with the dedication of the centre team, recognised through this prestigious national award. Congratulations to Everyone Active and everyone involved in this outstanding achievement, which is something the whole community can celebrate.”
