Apply for a parking permit in the Northampton town centre area
We are no longer accepting new applications for Resident Parking Permits. Applications will instead need to be submitted as a season ticket.
If you are an existing Resident Permit holder you may continue to renew your permit. However, should your permit have any breaks in valid periods, subsequent applications will be treated as new. You will then need to apply for a season ticket.

When creating a new account for an off street parking permit, ensure you select the appropriate option with the prefix “carpark”.
Examples include: Carpark residents, Carpark non-residents, Carpark Businesses, Carpark Season Tickets, Carpark Commuters, Carpark Country Parks.
After you apply
It may take up to 3 working days to process your application, during which time you will have to pay normal parking charges.
All permits are virtual - paper permits will no longer be issued.

Commuter parking permits
Commuter parking permits are available to holders of rail season tickets.
To support your application you must provide a valid rail photo ID and rail season ticket which must be valid for at least two thirds of the period of the permit you are applying for.
We do not accept retrospective evidence or proof of payment as evidence of a rail season ticket.
Apply for a season ticket or commuter permit
Please use the permit portal to apply for a permit. You may apply for up to 9 season tickets.
All permits are virtual – paper permits will no longer be issued.
For any permit renewal please apply at least a week in advance of your current permit's expiry date so that your application can be processed before your permit expires. If you do not renew your permit in time you will have to pay for parking until you do renew it.
