How we can support you

SEND Support Service transformation

The SEND Support Service are undergoing a review and transformation. New offers will be in place from September 2025.

We are asking for your feedback and engagement in the process. Please share with your teams, with wider partners and complete our 7-question form – it will take less than 5 minutes. The deadline to complete the form is Saturday 21 June 2025.

Complete our feedback and engagement form

To allow for effective change, we are pausing all requests for support from Friday 23 May 2025. SEND Support Service will complete all open pieces of work in schools by the end of summer term.

We will complete all open pieces of work with parents and CYP at home by the end of summer break. We will then review the feedback from all partners to inform our next steps, with a new offer identified and in place from September 2025.

If you have any questions, please contact the team at [email protected].

The SEND Support Service offers advice and support to children, young people, families, carers and a range of educational establishments for children with special educational needs/disabilites (SEND), aged 0 to 19 years.

Support available without a referral

You can request consultation support or access courses and workshops without a referral.

Consultations

Anyone seeking advice for an individual child can request a consultation.

Parent or Professional consultations

Consultations are usually held by telephone or video call (Teams) and take around an hour.

Follow-up consultations are available if families or professionals request them, once the initial advice and strategies have been implemented.

How to request a consultation

To request a one off, virtual or telephone call-based consultation appointment, you can complete our online form:

Please be advised these requests are reviewed weekly in our SEND Support Service (SSS) panel. You may be offered either the above consultation call, signposting, or your request may be declined.

This outcome will be communicated to you via Egress secure email.

Once reviewed in panel, you will be contacted by a practitioner from the service to provide a meeting within 4 to 6 weeks.

Courses

We offer a range of virtual and face-to-face courses and workshops to help parents understand and support their child's Special Educational Need (SEN).
