"I really enjoy working with people and helping to put the right support in place for the individual. No two days are the same, which is something I love about the role. There are always new services to learn about and I appreciate the training opportunities available to enhance my knowledge, to better support my customers.
I find the role can assist individuals to get to a place where they feel more confident, connected to their communities and have the correct support around them going forward. It is highly rewarding to see positive outcomes and a make a meaningful change to someone’s life."
Charlotte B (Wellbeing Advisor - Rural)
"Working with people in the community is a privilege and I enjoy being able to offer people the time, space and 1:1 support, when they need it; supporting people in their Wellbeing journey and being able to focus on what this means to the people I support."
Danielle (Wellbeing Advisor - Rural)
"I have a background in supporting individuals to take care of and improve their health and wellbeing in a calming and compassionate way. Providing a safe space for individuals to discuss and explore their own health and wellbeing is a priority for me.
As a wellbeing advisor I hope to make a difference to people’s lives, utilising their own ideas for change as well as those already existing in the community and local areas."
Francis (Wellbeing Advisor - Rural)
“Working with people has always felt like a privilege. In part, this is because there has always been a very central awareness of the bravery that is given by a person who shares who they are and the journey of where they want to go. It is a bravery that is further underlined when that person seeks another to collaborate with them in finding the next steps of that journey.
As a Wellbeing Advisor, being that sought someone is the privilege. Having that opportunity to collaborate on next steps - to look together at overcoming difficulties, managing change, and finding a positive difference - will always feel meaningful.”
Lara (Wellbeing Advisor - Rural)
"I love meeting people, hearing their stories and trying to help with problems we all come across in life. Our one to one appointments are great for this.
My feeling is we are all muddling through life best we can, and if there’s anything we can do to help each other, let's do that.
I am very fortunate I can do this for a living, and have always felt that privilege of people sharing their issues with us, trusting us with their information, so that we may help address those problems, and help people move forward.
I like getting out in the sunshine or a bit of drizzle, I don’t mind - so our Walk and Talks are great for a bit of easy exercise, talking through things and getting a different perspective, outdoor views, seeing nature or saying a passing hello to other people strolling along."
