The Big Conversation gathers local views to shape future social care
Join us for a friendly, informal Big Conversation event. You can share your experiences, ideas and views about adult social care in West Northamptonshire.
You can take part in open, relaxed discussions with people who use services, carers, staff and partners. You do not need to be an expert. Just come along and tell us what matters to you.
We will provide refreshments. Our team will be there to support you and help everyone feel comfortable taking part.
We want the event to be accessible for everyone. If you are worried about travel, getting to the venue, or have any questions, email [email protected], we will discuss how we can support you.
If you cannot make the event, please complete our online survey.
The Big Conversation is an opportunity for us to listen to:
- people who use care and support
- family and friends who provide care
- people who work in care and support
We ask about:
- what is working well
- what could be better
- ideas for improving adult social care in the future
We use what people tell us to work together to improve services and set our priorities.
We want every person in West Northamptonshire to live a full and connected life.
This means they should be able to:
- live in the place they call home
- be with the people and things they love
- be part of communities where people support each other
- do the things that matter to them
This vision is part of a national movement called Social Care Future.
We are working with an independent partner to make sure the Big Conversation is open, inclusive and meaningful.
We are working with:
- Think Local Act Personal (TLAP)
- The National Co-production Advisory Group (NCAG)
- Local co-production partners and community organisations
- Our Experts By Experience (people who draw on care and support or family and friend carers who are working with us to improve services
Together, we want to make sure people’s voices are heard and valued.
