eLearning for Health Care (ELFH)
This learning is in digital eLearning format to provide eLearning to educate and train the health and care workforce. These learning programs are developed in partnership with the NHS, 3rd sector and professional bodies and can be accessed by health and care professionals for free, 24/7.
On their website, which you can sign up for, there is a large alphabetized list of healthcare courses available.
Skills for Care
Skills for Care provide a range of support and guidance for the Adult Social Care Workforce, including free training.
Learning and Development Support Scheme
The Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) is providing funding under the Learning and Development Support Scheme (LDSS) to support learning and development for Adult Social Care (ASC) workforce.
Eligible ASC employers can claim funding for certain training courses and qualifications on behalf of eligible care staff. This funding is for eligible courses and qualifications that have been both paid for and started between 1 April 2024 and 31 March 2025 (inclusive).

Safeguarding Adults Board
Northamptonshire Safeguarding Adults Board (SAB) publish a range of resources to support learning and best practice, including access to previous learning events.
The summary and key learning following Safeguarding Adult Reviews are also published. It is recommended that providers familiarise themselves with these cases, and implement and changes in practice based on learning from these cases.
Community Training Partnership
The Community Training Partnership provides bitesize training to frontline workers and volunteers. The Partnership is funded by West Northamptonshire Council and led by Northampton Hope Centre and Community Law.

Oliver McGowan Training – guidance
You can view guidance provided by NHFT regarding the Oliver McGowan training. The tier required for each staff member will be decided by the employer, link to tier guidance.
There isn’t a specification that states what needs to be included in LDA training if people want to develop their own. However, it would need to match to competencies within the core capabilities framework for supporting people with a learning disability and core capabilities framework for supporting autistic people.
